Youth Development Evaluation (YDEval) is led by Dr. Tiffany Berry, Research Full Professor at Claremont Graduate University and Associate Director of the Claremont Evaluation Center.Our evaluation approach is reflective of our expertise and scholarship as applied developmental psychologists and program evaluators, as well as our extensive experience working in the landscape of youth program evaluation across the nation.Our approach to evaluation is rooted in being utilization-focused, theory-driven, collaborative and focused on capacity-building, and culturally responsive. We utilize methods that are client-driven, developmentally appropriate, inclusive of multiple voices, and scientifically valid and rigorous. We use methods like surveys, focus groups, interviews, observations, and secondary data analysis. YDEval conducts rigorous statistical analyses such as descriptive and inferential statistics, structural equation modeling, and propensity score analysis.Finally, YDEval prides itself in promoting learning in our partners through the process of creating Theory of Change and logic models, literature reviews, program strategy development, professional development workshops, and continuous improvement work. We also provide reporting and deliverables through executive summaries, cumulative reports, and spotlight reports.
