Design - Knoxville, Tennessee, United States
Yee-Haw helped pioneer the modern letterpress revival by scouring print shops across the nation for old printing equipment, ultimately building one of the largest working collections of letterpress type and presses in the country. Working out of a studio in downtown Knoxville, Tennessee, they mobilized as an art collective under the banner 'Art for the People', producing large edition poster work, brand identities, music packaging and a variety of other hand-printed ephemera. While printing and design was their main focus, they hawked their wares at music festivals and printing events across the country, held workshops and lectures at universities, and had major gallery exhibitions. They served a wide variety of clients including the National Gallery Of Art, MoMA, MTV, Jack Daniel's, Ralph Lauren, Wired Magazine, Jones Soda, Criterion Collection, The Oxford American, The New York Times, Chelsea Market NYC, Blackberry Farm, and The Phillips Collection
