Yeovil Youth Theatre (YYT) is a performance based theatre group.Established in 2005, YYT in its present format has been providing young people aged 13 to 18 years, with an interest in musical theatre and drama, the opprtunity to learn what it's like to be part of a company working together and putting on a show. The skills of singing, dancing and acting will have needed to be successfully learnt in order to present one of our productions. Each production starts with a few workshops in order to prepare for the auditions, from which we select for a production.YYT is a non-profit making organisation and along with our productions, the only other sources of income we have come from the occasional fundraising event and others who may want to sponsor a production.The theatre company operates by a committee of volunteers who come from all walks of life but are committed to seeing singing, dancing and acting opportunities being made available for young people and at minimum cost. Some of the committee have had a lifetime of experience in theatre.
