The designer Semiha Kan established the company in 2018. YEQ is inspired from YEK word which means unique at Persian language to emphasize the uniqueness that's why specializes in bringing together contemporary design and traditional craftsmanship to create unique and timeless collections. People will find aesthetic, high quality and good craftsmanship at products in the mix of chosen natural materials combined. The design collections are available to the world with exclusive and traditional production methods by Turkish craftsmen. YEQ selects the best local craft manufacturers from the Turkey involves them in the production of high-design items, which are contemporary yet express traces of the past. As well as a matter of fact, especially rich in areas of specialized manufacturing, each with its own tradition and craft identity: a heritage which requires protection and updating through the planning quality of high design and technological knowledge.
