YGPS was created as a global environment for politically active high school students who wish to take action and change their surroundings for the better. The local branches unite passionate students from the same city willing to work together in local projects, through club meetings that can vary from simply discussing and brainstorming ideas to actively working on solutions. These clubs are able to work independently of central leadership, having the autonomy to build their own path in their respective political spaces. Once a year, all branches and willing outside students get together in a virtual conference to partake in a worldwide debate of pertinent topics, brainstorming ideas and attempting to make the world a better place through new projects.
