Urban Mushrooms is YMCA Newcastle's newest social enterprise, we grow speciality Oyster mushrooms on used coffee grounds at our city centre Urban Farm. We provide education and training to young people and employee disadvantaged young people who would not otherwise be able to access employment. All of our profits are reinvested into YMCA Newcastle's work with young people. You can find our fresh oyster mushrooms in Newcastle's top restaurants, or you can order a Growbox grow at home kit and grow your own delicious Oyster mushrooms at home!
