The YMCA is the newest branch of The Golden State YMCAThe Golden State YMCA...serving all in Kings and Tulare CountiesThe Golden State YMCA serves more than 6,000 people each year...uniting men, women and children of all ages, races, faiths, backgrounds, abilities and income levels. At the heart of community life across Central California, our mission-driven YMCA is a place to belong and to live the values that guide and unite our members: caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.The Golden State YMCA serves Tulare and Kings Counties' children, families and communities by "building healthy spirit, mind and body for all."The Visalia YMCA merged with the Corcoran Family YMCA in July of 2004...expanding the service area of the Golden State YMCA to Kettleman City, Woodlake, Tulare and Farmersville. We have also recently merged with the Kings County YMCA in 2010. The number of lives we are able to humbly serve is increasing daily.We currently employ over 300 professional role models. The staff of the Golden State YMCA is our greatest asset -- for they are the people who carry out the YMCA mission.
