Owner Yvonne Martin graduated for the Higher Education for Human Resource Managemant in 1993. Before starting this study, she has worked in different segments within the healthcare since the mid 70s. The red thread within the healthcare sector is "to give the helping hand at places where it is needed". Yvonne did mediation work in three important sectors of the labor market; Services & Care, Industry and Government. These sectors are separate worlds with many differences. Besides the dynamic work activities, she started a three-year Raya education in 1999, to be able to work with heart and soul. She continues with her yoga training at the Saswitha education for Yoga & Philosophy. With the knowledge from the Raya School, she starts to give yoga lessons in the evenings. In 2006, she obtained the diploma for training at the Saswitha Institute for Yoga & Philosophy with Chakra psychology as specialization. She decides to start her own practice. This is a long-cherished dream to live and work abroad. Therefore, she moves back to her native island of Curacao in 2007. In 2011, Yoga Centrum Curacao N.V. is officially established. Yvonne gives spiritual classes, from a certain parity making it more relatable.
