Yoga Chikitsa offers yoga classes and wellness consulting in the Greater Toronto Area. ‘Yoga Chikitsa' means ‘yoga therapy' and is the name of the primary series of postures in the traditional ashtanga yoga system. Traditionally yoga is used as a preventative measure against mental and physical illness and to prepare the body for long periods of meditation in a seated position. Yoga is for everyone; healthy or weak. It allows energy (kinetic, potential, thermal, gravitational, sound, light, elastic and electromagnetic) to balance and flow freely through our bodies making us feel good and healthy. Physical benefits are a positive side effect of the practice and with it can come a longer more vibrant life.
