The York Blockchain and Innovation Society provide talks, networking opportunities and workshops in affiliations with the University of York. On a weekly to fortnightly basis we hold events virtually at the University. Our talks cover all things blockchain for beginners to experts. Our most popular self-hosted talks involve 'Introduction to Blockchain' and 'Blockchain in Cryptocurrencies'.Previously, we have had guest speakers from Blockchain and FinTech companies from across Europe. These provide excellent opportunities for attendees to network, and for the invited speakers to engage with the university blockchain community. This is still our aim but virtually. We have workshops designed for development work, particularly regarding the design and development of smart contracts for various projects throughout the year.
