The Roman Bathhouse of Eboracum is an important archaeological site drawing thousands of tourists each year. The site consists of the ruins of the Caldarium (hot room), part of the Fridgidarium (cold plunge bath), and various pieces of the original structure which served as spa, health complex, and entertainment centre for the Sixth Legion Victrix from the late 3rd century until the Roman army left the city in 379.There are displays, information boards, and a shop.
