The Young African Entrepreneurs Institute NPC (hereafter referred to as YAEI) was established in 2018 in response to unemployment and entrepreneurial challenges experienced by the youth. YAEI was established primarily as an ecosystem to provide a combination of practical skills, organized knowledge (experience) and pro-active support for the youth with an interest in technopreneurship, sociopreneurship and agripreneurship post-school.South Africa is confronted by high levels of unemployment among the youth (including graduates). According to StatsSA the unemployment rate hit record high of 32.5% in 2021, with the youth being the most affected by joblessness. According to a report by International Labour Organisation which captures unemployment statistics for about 189 countries, South Africa came top with an unemployment rate of over 55.7% for the youth aged between 15 and 24.VISIONThe vision is to develop high impact ventures and principled business leaders who will drive high measurable socio-economic impact in their communities, the country, and the continent.Our Projects- Kurisani Entrepreneurship Empowerment Programme: Focused on offering support to the youth with start-ups through skills development, access to markets & funding, mentorship and consultation services.- An extention to the pogramme is Township & Rural Activation For Collaborative Entrepreneurship (TRACE).-South African Schools Entrepreneurship Initiative: Focused on entrepreneurship education and financial literacy for the learners in high schools.Other Services Rendered-Consulting Services on Strategy,Operations, Youth Development &Policy Development.-Research on Youth Development, Market Research,Entrepreneurship Development &Socio-Economic Development.-Workshops &Training onentrepreneurship development.
