MissionThe program's goal is to identify, support and encourage young entrepreneurial women and men and, through the growth of their companies, to create jobs for others.HistoryIn early 2012, a $10,000 grant from the Eastern Bank Charitable Foundation, awarded to the Enteprise Center at Salem State University, launched the beginning of the Young Entrepreneurs of the North Shore (YENS). Targeted to young business owners, YENS aims to provide resources to young business owners and a referral network to allow these business owners to reach out and connect with each other. YENS also hosts networking events for business relationship building and workshops for business development in all areas.General InformationYENS has a dedicated Board of Directors that are committed to supporting and executing the organization's mission. We are excited to announce that in November 2012, we began the process of incorporating the organization as a 501(c)(3). In the 2013 year, we will be hosting networking mixers, business development workshops and a new website that will act as a portal for young business owners to connect, and function as a socially-driven online resource.
