Young Mind Skills, founded by Kameron Pratt, looks to broaden the employability of Clark County's at-risk youth and young adults. Working with our community and court system we offer trade skills valuable in today's job market. We make it our mission to spark a passion within Nevada's future workforce and set them on the road toward success. Graduates of the Young Mind Skills program will have the tools and the skills to seek further education, certification and employment in a post Covid-19 job market. Team Young Mind Skills builds confidence, character, and expands choices for a better tomorrow.Young Mind Skills offers a minimum six-month program to at risk boys and girls within Clark County, Nevada's Juvenile Justice Services, ages 12 to 18 years old. All students are required to take and pass an OSHA inspired safety test lasting two weeks. Life skills and community mentor courses are also required throughout the program. YMS students will choose 1 or 2 of the following trade disciplines for their 6-month course work: ELECTRIC –AUTOMOTIVE – WELDING – CARPENTRY – PLUMBING – HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning)
