The Young Pianist Foundation was founded in 1999 in order to help young pianists in The Netherlands to develop their talents in the highest possible way.It is the YPF's aim to guide the best Dutch young pianists to international top level by providing them with the necessary support, in addition to the existing educational channels.The Foundation created all sorts of "instruments" to provide this support, for example masterclasses, piano competitions and CD recordings. Since 2007 the YPF has its own professional concert management agency to promote and launch the competition-laureates."Initiatives of the YPF led to permanent and solid level increase of piano playing in The Netherlands" according to Dutch master pedagogue Mr. Jan Wijn.
