The Youth Action Project(YAP) established to empower the youth (high school and college students) to bring about change in their communities through different projects created by or affiliated with this YAP. By uniting different institutions and projects, we can bring in youth of varying interests and unite them to work for a common goal: to make the world a better place to live. YAP will have 6 facets in will focus on in order to create systemic change. Firstly, YAP created and maintains a web platform to make it easier for existing projects to collaborate, network and find ways to create more effective change in an already established system. Secondly, the YAP hosts Youth Sustainability Summits in their local cities to rally the youth and bring established institutions to connect with the rising generation. Thirdly, the YAP will create political advocacy groups concerning poverty, energy, and climate change to lobby in local governments. Fourthly, the YAP runs its own projects pertaining (but not limited to) to the four central focus points of the summit: poverty, financial literacy, climate change, and energy. Fifthly, the YAP will provide consultation services to individuals wishing to begin their own projects. The YAP will also maintain a media campaign that will seek to promote and spread awareness of the issues facing the world. Lastly, the YAP will open up an opportunity for schools to charter their own YAP clubs to help solidify connections and make it more accessible to more students.
