Youth Employment Support ProgramAlgeria / European Union PartnershipThe People's Democratic Republic of Algeria and the European Union signed in December 2012, a co-financing agreement of € 26 million, (of which € 23.5 million represents the European contribution and € 2.5 million the Algerian contribution). the implementation of a support program for the development and implementation of national youth and youth employability policies, called the Youth Employment Support Program PAJE.The Algerian government places the care of youth as one of its major concerns, reflected and reflected in the national policy committed to youth by the various sectoral ministries and agencies under their supervision including: PAJEThe Youth Employment Support Program is part of an effort to improve the efficiency and cross-sectoral coherence of existing social and professional integration support schemes, in a participatory approach undertaken by all the actors involved in order to result in strengthening intersectoral and inter-partnership actions, including civil society.The main objective of the PAJE is to support the action and the reforms of the Algerian Government in its national policies towards youth.The program is placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security in partnership with 14 other ministries.Target groups and stakeholdersTwo target groups are mainly concerned with the PAJE:beneficiariesYoung people from 16 to 35 years old, residing in the four pilot states, individually, or through associations active in the field of youth in connection with socio-professional integration.
