The youth wing of The Hunger Project-Bangladesh, known as Youth Ending Hunger (YEH) active since 1995, is the country's largest volunteer social movement of youth. YEH members regularly organize localized campaigns for safe drinking water, nutrition and hygiene, immunization coverage and elimination of various social ills such as child marriage and dowry. At the same time, through their activities, the youth members develop their own organizational and leadership capacities and planning and execution discipline to take on progressively larger challenges for nation building.The YEH network has 47,110 active members in 1,901 units across the country. There are two major types of youth units; educational institution based and community based. The YEH units form their own national and regional forums using democratic practices.
