At YfPI we work with the vision of building a peaceful world of empowered individuals and Peaceful societies. We offer our peace education and Global Citizenship workshops to youth of ages 16-23. Through models of experiential learning, community service and advocacy we aim to build a network of grassroot community actors. This network of vibrant, urban and rural young Peacebuilders spread awareness and prevent, tackle and transform a spectrum of conflicts through versatile and innovative techniques. \\The Crisis \\Values like Non-Violence and empathy are missing into the educational diaspora of India. This leaves conflicts both personal and interpersonal to remain unresolved leading to escalation of these conflicts and at times violently. Over time as the individuals grows in such an environment he/she is unable to recognize and appreciate diversity thereby building stereotypes which can leads to extremist tendencies and violent conflicts. Societies are built by such individuals and the conflicts surrounding them. Such an environment therefore hampers peaceful co-existence. \\ The Mission\\Our team is on a mission to train 350+ million young people in India with values like non-violence and empathy with an aim of empowering young to build sustainable societies. Through theoretical and experiential learning modules we aim at empowering young people on recognizing and understanding inclusiveness, tolerance and how diversity as individuals and communities is a platform to collaborate and not compete. We also invest our potential in providing opportunities to intern and volunteer for different causes with our belief that teaching is best leant and sustained when they are utilized for on ground purposes. Our exclusive ecosystem and partners like the UNDP and Commonwealth also help us provide a forum to start advocacy and grassroot projects which these trained young people have access to.
