Youth for Sewa is an unpaid Summer Internship initiative led by Sewa UK to connect young dynamic individuals from diverse backgrounds with NGOs in rural India. It is a collaboration between Sewa UK and National Hindu Students Forum (NHSF) aiming to cultivate and develop the spirit of sewa and inspire individuals to work for the wellbeing of humanity.Projects are available in health care, education, environmental awareness, women's empowerment, rural development and micro-finance. Through service, the interns discover, learn and engage in a transformative experience that empowers them, as they strive to make an impact in their chosen field.The interview, orientation and mentoring process is a key part of the YFS journey. We create a space and platform to nurture each intern through personal challenges whilst facilitating group learning opportunities along the way.Interns have an individual mentor dedicated to their growth throughout their journey.The 6-week internship is just the start of the journey! Upon their return, we encourage interns to engage in community projects to continue developing their skills and contribute to the world around themWe're looking for young dynamic individuals (18+) who are ready to challenge their perceptions and beliefs, push their boundaries and flourish as individuals.
