Youth Health Ghana (YHG) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that takes an evidence-based public health approach to improving the wellness of adolescents in Ghana and the USA by drawing on unique health and well-being insights each culture offers. In its 2 years, YHG has co-trained a youth health advocacy team in educating 2,100 rural children and parents on sexual/reproductive health, co-enrolled 900 rural children in Ghana's National Health Insurance at a 90% subsidized cost, and successfully advocated for improved youth pregnancy policies in partnership with Ghana Health Service and Ghana Social Welfare. Recently, we've fundraised $10,700 and 2.5 acres of land to construct and operate a first-of-its-kind Adolescent Health-Wellness Corner in rural Benyadze, Ghana.
