Youth Music Showcase PDX Details
YMSpdx is a first-year not-for-profit program centered around high school aged artists in the Portland area. We are being underwritten by Innovative Giving Enhancement (Innogiven), a Portland-based nonprofit. Artistic direction is being provided by local music kingpin Lewi Longmire. This event will showcase musical talent within the Portland metro area encompassing varied genres and styles. By connecting with local institutions and high schools, we will provide both a venue and studio time free of charge to all participating amateur artists who are selected for the event. In addition to offering recording time at a high profile studio, artists will be connected with local professional musicians who will mentor and introduce them into the professional musical community. We will be partnering with My Voice Music, a Portland nonprofit music school focusing on delivering cost-free programs to children in need.
