Environmental Services - Warsaw, Masovian Voivodeship, Poland
While participating in the Global Water Partnership CEE's summer school for Water in Sustainable Development in Warsaw, Poland, twenty students from various backgrounds discovered a need to empower youth in water policy and projects throughout Central and Eastern Europe. We represent students and young professionals with backgrounds in engineering, policy, law, landscape architecture, health sciences, hydrogeology, geography and meteorological sciences. Following the principles of integrated water resource management, stakeholders from all sectors-community members, industry, government, scientists should be involved to create the best practices and policy for future sustainable water development. In discussing the Sustainable Development Goals and water security for the future, we noticed a big gap between youth-led involvement in projects and policy and the need for youth engagement, being the key stakeholders of the future. In order to preserve and enhance our future water resources, we need to empower each other, advocate at local, regional, national and international levels and act towards being the change we want to see in our communities. Our community is open to all young people who are passionate to create positive change and leave a lasting impact for water resources. If this sounds like you, #JOIN #US!
