Youth Water Initiative Details
Youth Water Initiative was founded in 2019 with the mission to bringing awareness and clean water to communities across the globe. We focus on providing sustainable water solutions to villages in order to give communities access to clean water that they so fundamentally deserve. Throughout 2019 and 2020, Youth Water Initiative fundraised over $8,000 to successfully built solar water pump and solar lamps in the village of Saluji Dhani. We partnered with the Human Development Foundation for fundraising and contracting for this project. Utilizing peer to peer fundraising, we also hope to engage students and younger generations because issues such as climate change and inequity all contribute to the global water crisis. We are currently partnering with the Alpha Delta Phi fraternity at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign to raise funds for our upcoming project.
