Youthspace.ca was launched in May 2008 by NEED Crisis and Information Line, (now known as NEED2) in a response to reach out to youth online. We discovered that youth were not reaching out for help using the phone, and often didn't know where to go to access help or support. It became apparent that we needed to reach out to youth were they are, which is online. To provide non judgmental, anonymous, emotional support and access to local resources to Canadian young people up to 30-years-old using our ever changing world of technology.
