YRHacks is a new virtual hackathon run by high school students and for high school students in York Region. YRHacks encourages an environment for students to come together and learn in a creative and safe environment, empowering youth with the limitless potential of exponential technologies.YRHacks will be an environment for students of different strengths and skill levels to come together and experiment with their creative ideas. They do not need a solid technical background to participate in YRHacks. As long as they have a passion for learning, we will provide all necessary support and engagement through mentors, talks, and workshops. Additionally, there will be engaging side activities to keep participants refreshed if they wish to take a break from hacking. We believe that YRHacks will allow us to help empower youth with the limitless potential of STEM.
