The Yuba-Sutter United Way was incorporated in 1968 and began serving our community as the "United Community Fund of Yuba and Sutter Counties." In 1985 the name was changed to the Yuba-Sutter United Way and it has kept that name ever since. Through the years the Yuba-Sutter United Way has raised millions of dollars that have improved the lives of people in Yuba-Sutter. Locally owned and locally governed, the Yuba-Sutter United Way is an association member of the United Way of America joining more than 1,300 local United Way organizations. In just the last six years the Yuba-Sutter United Way has raised over $1.5 million - and 99% of that money has stayed right here in our community helping our friends and neighbors. The Yuba-Sutter United Way improves lives by mobilizing community resources and partnerships to create sustained health and human services improvements in Yuba and Sutter Counties.
