One of the greatest challenges that our society is currently facing is the fast-growing ageing population. A recent survey reveals that 30% of the elderly suffer from social isolation, which is a risk factor for impaired mental health and cardiovascular diseases. To fight this loneliness epidemic, we are developing Zämi, a social platform that aims at locally connecting the elderly based on their interests. We want to build an app that will be easy to use, adapted to our seniors and highly secure.
