Hello and welcome to Zella Foods & Ingredients, LLC. I'm Randal Bird the co-founder. We are brokers of natural, organic, non-GMO and sustainable specialty food ingredients. Our list of products continues to grow and is updated on a regular basis. Our customers include food, beverage and nutraceutical companies throughout the Midwest region of the USA and companies just like yours. I started this business because eating well and using quality ingredients is important to me and my family. I believe using fewer chemicals helps in maintaining a healthy body and I try to support this by using and selling ingredients I use and believe in. I'm sure you are wondering about the name of the company and the story behind it. Well, Zella Foods & Ingredients is a tribute to my late paternal grandmother, Zella Caldwell Bird. She was the one person who inspired my love for great food, cooking and baking. Grandma was an amazing cook and baker who made everything from scratch with simple ingredients, many being grown in her own garden. She baked almost daily, selling bread and rolls from the back door of her home to friends and neighbors. My grandparent's home always smelled of fresh bread and the melted butter which she brushed on top of every loaf when she pulled it from the oven. I was lucky enough to be able to help her on many occasions and have wonderful memories of those hours spent in the kitchen with her.
