Founded in 2015, we started Zilker Belts after being inspired by the passion, pride, and craftsmanship found in Argentina. Co-Founders Wade Green and Hill Shands knew the vibrant colors, hand-stitched patterns, and world-class leather belonged back home in Texas and beyond. Working with our partners in Argentina we sourced the finest material, learned the intricate manufacturing process, and have since created over 20 different styles. Our belts and dog collars are wearable works of art that draw inspiration from the traditional gaucho style and some of our favorite local icons like Deep Eddy, Antone's, Willie, Austin FC, and Austin City Limits. We're happy to call Austin, Texas home, and community is woven into everything we do. We believe in thinking globally and acting locally; from the ethical, hand-crafted manufacturing process and close relationships we've developed with our Argentine partners, to the local causes we support.We focus our support on three great non-profit organizations: Austin Sunshine Camps (ASC), Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (HAAM), and Save Muny. Our connection runs deep to these causes. Wade and Hill proudly served on the ASC Board together for nearly a decade, along with a few years on the HAAM fundraising committee, and continue their involvement by donating a portion of proceeds from our Sunshine and Antone's belts. The Sunshine Camps are also located in Zilker Park, the place that inspired our company's name.
