Ziv Neurim is an Israeli nonprofit organization (NPO) established in 2000 in memory of Ziv Levy, a member of Israel's elite naval commando unit who fell in the line of duty at the age of 20. It was established by friends of Ziv and members of his unit.The organization focuses on preventing at-risk youngsters from dropping out of the education system, by providing a program of challenging sea-based and other supportive activities.Through the connection with the sea and the development of small-sea-craft skills, the youngsters acquire tools to help them realize their full potential in other spheres, and acquire values and life skills that will help them to become well-integrated and active members of society.
