"Speedway Cocktail," as it was originally called, was developed by Joe Lencki, Indy race engine and chassis design engineer and car owner, for the use of engines for the Indianapolis 500. While disassembling engines, Lencki discovered certain internal parts were scuffed due to lack of proper lubrication.
