Zon Gardens as an enterprise was built to promote innovation and collaborations between academic and research institutes with businesses in the field of Sustainability, as well as, supporting other startups and SMEs in developing and launching their own sustainable products. It focuses on Green Technologies, specifically in the Water, Energy, and Food sectors serving the Euro-mediterranean region.Zon Gardens is a partner of AWESOME, an EU-funded PRIMA-Project developing a multi-level decision analytic Water, Energy, and Food (WEF) platform in collaboration with multiple European and Mediterranean academic and research institutes. The platform aims to support managing Water, Ecosystems and Food across sectors and scales in the south Mediterranean to support achieving the Sustainable Development Goals of 2030. Zon Gardens is a research partner for several universities and institutes in Europe and North Africa. Zon Gardens is a sister company to Plug'n'Grow, a specialized advanced agriculture solutions provider based on Hydroponic, Aquaponic, and Intensive Aquaculture technologies. Plug'n'Grow supports growers and agribusinesses in adopting economically-lucrative sustainable agriculture solutions through a wide range of services and products ranging from design, to construction, technical support, capacity building and management softwares.Zon Gardens is also a sister company to agrimatic farms, owner and operator of Egypt's first commercial-scale soilless farm with a production capacity of 1400 tons of vegetables and 150 tons of fish annually. agrimatic specializes in operating and managing large-scale soilless production facilities through applying state-of-the-art Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for maximum efficiency.
