Zone Startups Calgary (ZSC) is a startup accelerator focused on building innovative technology companies for the industrial internet, Internet of Things, and energy sectors. ZSC has a seed-stage investment fund to foster growth for the highest-potential companies, and offers an innovation-for-hire consulting practice, helping clients find solutions in technology.Through a partnership with GE, our founding partner, ZSC helps early-stage technology companies grow by tapping into GE's expansive network and leveraging startup accelerator programming that has been successful in Toronto and Mumbai. Working out of the GE Customer Innovation Centre, startups can connect with a network that includes potential customers, mentors, investors, and tier one founders.ZSC is part of the Zone Startups family, founded by Ryerson Futures Inc., a for-profit entity wholly owned by Ryerson University. Zone Startups includes Zone Startups Sports + Media in Toronto, as well as four programs in India: Zone Startups India in partnership with the Bombay Stock Exchange; Thought Factory powered by Axis Bank, Barclay's Rise Accelerator, and Gateway91.
