The Zoo Lake Sports Club is a "Sport and Function" Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa.Once a proud sports club, founded in the 1930's, by the turn of the Millenium, the pressures of sustaining a sports club without the support of Council meant the club was unable to meet its financial obligations.At that stage the "Club" ceased to exist and the property was managed by JHB sport. Unfortunately, hugley under resourced, the property fell into Ruin and by 2007 was infested with Squatters and vagrants without any meaningful sports being played there.The lease was awarded to the local School, Jan Celliers, who in conjunction with the Sportsman Group, set about re-establishing the venue. The Sportsman Group invested R3m into the premises and now it has become a valuable part of the JHB northern suburbs landscape, with active Sports Participation.Club Number is 011 646 3440
