I play with video cameras and boombox recorders since I was 12. By that time, I used to make audio cassete tapes of guitar/keyboard tunes and direct horror/fantasy short films with his friends and neighbours, shooting them in VHS and editing with two VCR's. I kept this raw way of production until 1999, when I went to Sao Carlos Federal University to study audiovisual production. There, I took some time on the analog stuff and started experimenting with digital medias, using dv cameras, midi controllers and computer softwares for video post-production, animation, live visuals and music. I've worked in a lot of production facilities and I live in Sao Paulo since 2004, working mostly with advertising but also investing my time and effort on my own projects, which includes videos, photography and music projects like Pulselooper, a chipmusic act (music made and played with videogames), with wich I have performed in a lot of places in Brazil and overseas (Germany and USA).\\I create my own stuff from what I have in hand, whether it is an old VHS camcorder or a Nintendo Game Boy. I always was an adept of the lo-fi culture, and I try to mix old, analog technology (their textures and sounds can't be perfectly emulated, no matter what) with today's standard ways of production. Be it in 1991 or 2011.\\vimeo.com/andrezp\flickr.com/photos/andrezp\pulselooper.net\chippanze.org
