Zubi was founded in 2012 by two sisters, Mercedes Zubizarreta and Elena Zubizarreta.The Zubizarreta sisters grew up in Madrid (Spain), where their family taught them to appreciate the beauty of design and things well done. In 2012 they decided to start a capsule collection of printed bags. Seemingly overnight, both of them turn their design passion into a successful brand. Since its inception, ZUBI has tried to create sustainable economic opportunities for Spanish artisans and entrepreneurs. They rescue the pouch bag, the one you hug, the one you show to everyone and the one you have close to you in every moment. That is why ZUBIs turn into something very special for their owners, they use them 24 hours nonstop, collect them and give them as presents. The original designs are based on the visual influences they receive every day. They freeze beauty through pictures, to have it always in their memories, tinting it with the colors that take them back there. ZUBI bags are very simple, with small number of pieces; they have reduced it to the essence because you do not need anything else. In this simplicity lies part of its beauty and practicity. They study and experiment with every fabric, always looking for the highest quality and own personality. They produce close to their hometown, involving their selves in the process and learning about every person that participates and their environment, looking for best professionals under fair working conditions. During all the process we guarantee the achievement all environmental and recycling standards, because we really care about preserving the beauty that surrounds us.
