T. Seton, and the Scout movement, created by Lord Baden-Powell. It's part of the world's largest youth movement ‒ and an official member of the World Organisation of the Scout Movement since 1994. Currently, we have around 7000 members, 1700 volunteers and 7 members of staff. Educating young leaders since 1951Scouting's mission is to contribute to the education of young people through a value system based on the Scout Promise and Law, and to help build a better world where people are self-fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role in society. We strive for a wholesome education, encouraging physical, intellectual, emotional, social, spiritual as well as personal development, so that young people can become agents of positive change who inspire others to take action. We achieve this by:- Including young people in the informal educational process throughout their formation;- Using a unique Scout approach in which each individual is the main factor of his development;- Helping young people to form their own system of values based on spiritual, social and personal principles, expressed in Scout oath and by Scout law.The goal of our education is to contribute to the development of individuals, which are:- Autonomous: able to make one's own decisions and to manage one's life.- Supportive: able to actively care about and for others.- Responsible: able to assume the consequences of one's decisions, to keep one's commitments and to complete what one undertakes.- Committed: able to live according to one's values, to support causes or an ideal which one finds important. In other words, we educate future leaders.
