Established in 1991, Çitlembik LTD is a translation and publishing company that provides services to the national and international markets. Its translation department specializes in Turkish to English translations, with all of the company translations executed by fully qualified, native speaker staff. The translations are then given a second editing before they are sent to the customer. Çitlembik is fully capable across a wide spectrum of subject areas including literary, commercial, technical, medical, academic and legal translations and has many companies, both large and small, among its client pool. Çitlembik's publishing wing publishes books both in English and in Turkish. Its English books are based on some aspect of Turkey, whether literary translations of young Turkish authors, in depth guides, memoirs of life in Turkey, history or culture. Its Turkish language books take an alternative stance in fiction, memoirs and translations of critical books originally written in other languages. In the past several years Çitlembik has been developing a list of high quality children's books, published in both English and in Turkish. Çitlembik books are distributed across Turkey and are distributed in North America, Australia and New Zealand by National Book Network, the largest distributor in the US: Çitlembik books are also widely available on the Internet, especially on the site of its sister company, www.nettleberry.com.
