Ëa Informatique was a software development firm established in Strasbourg, France, between 1993 and 1999. Founded by two students and one investor, the company was mainly developing software for Apple's Macintosh platforms, with a strong specialty on drivers and low-level development.Among software developed by the company : videoconferencing codecs, imaging software, satellite image acquisition software, digital camera drivers, hard drive encryption algorithms, telecommunication drivers, drivers for scientific equipment, and an integrated mail/news/ftp/ppp software for a nationwide ISP.Clients were Apple Computer, Leica Camera AG, CFE, Fininfo, Mipsys, Météo France, CalvaCom etc...Ëa Informatique has been hosting the first local commercial private internet access point in Strasbourg, France.
