One Community. One Future. It's more than a tagline.African descendant women and girls in all parts of the world experience unparalleled suffering and discrimination in education, business, and social spaces. This is perpetuated because women and girls lack the resources, partnerships, and community support to transform these realities. Òman Baako is a social innovation firm that was founded to disrupt the perpetuation of suffering and discrimination among black women and girls around the world by facilitating Pan-African connections for mutual support in education, business, and in transforming harmful social norms.Òman Baako means "one community" in Twi, one of the major languages spoken in Ghana. The name speaks to our belief that African descendant women worldwide are inextricably linked in the pursuit of education, business, and social transformation.
