Östgötamusiken - as the name suggests, Östgötamusiken is the whole region's opportunity to participate in and listen to live music performed by professional musicians.We promote the region's musical life through successful collaborations with, for example, choirs, amateur musicians and children's groups. We usually play out with our audience. It can be a retirement home, a preschool, a crowded one Crusellhallen in Linköping or some other place. A typicall year we are out playing some 400 - 500 concerts throughout Östergötland and its 13 municipalities. No matter where we play, we want to spread the joy that the music gives and that in turn creates community, memories and the special sense of participation that only live music conveys.Östgöta Blåsarsymfoniker consists of 17 full-time professional musicians who are also part of the three the smaller ensembles Östgöta Brasskvintett, Crusellkvintetten and Östgötabandet.Östgöta Blåsarsymfoniker is one of Sweden's leading professional wind orchestras with ancestry from 16th century and we play the concerts in the Crusell series, our subscription series, in the Crusellhallen in Linköping Konsert & Kongress where the audience is offered a festive evening with a gold edge.Other public appearances performed by the Östgötamusiken ensembles include the chamber music series Konstpaus, concert series for children Musik på Winden, Crusellkonserten, concerts in connection with festivals and city parties and other public events.Östgötamusiken preserves and develops its musical heritage and reaches all everybody in Östergötland - children, young people, families and the elderly - both in the cities and in the countryside. We do our best every day to live up to our motto "Östgötamusiken - For everyone in the region!"
