ÜKÜ (oo-Koo) is a nonprofit with the mission of uniting, cultivating, and accelerating the new, global, learning revolution: to EMPOWER EDUCATION. We live in a time of rapid change, countless new ideas, and real, global opportunities. This generation of young learners is entering a world in which the possibilities are more attainable and endless than ever before. ÜKÜ has traveled through various countries, teaching empowering curriculum, filming on multiple continents, and connecting with the schools that are teaching students to enter the world of the 21st century. The students they have met have amazing capabilities and will excel in this world of unparallelled new opportunities. These new, proven, empowering teaching methods are the global revolution that will change the way we educate, and eventually, the way we live. But not every student has the opportunity to learn these lessons of empowerment. In a recent study of 165,000 American high school students, only 45% feel prepared for life after graduation.According to the World Economic Forum, by the time the modern K-12 student graduates, they will need to be empowered to think critically, creatively solve problems, and work in complex, global collaborations. Unfortunately, many students grew up educated into the early 20th-century office and factory jobs, many of which no longer exist.So how do we make this revolution accessible to the entire world: public schools, private schools, inner-city schools, third world schools, all schools? That is what ÜKÜ does. As they've traveled, they have captured on film the stories of revolutionary schools. Through these films, educators and students can see what is possible when it comes to an empowered education. Then through ÜKÜ's programs, any school can instantly implement these proven learning methods. We need to teach students to be EMPOWERED.
