Dam Hamaccabim is the name of Israel's official memorial flower for fallen soldiers and victims of terror. The flower derives its Hebrew name- "Blood of the Maccabees" from the legend claiming it grows only where, melaenas ago, a drop of blood from a Maccabee warrior fell to the ground. This legend represents the ethos of the Israeli and Jewish resilience, always choosing life in the face of loss. Since the days of the Maccabees to the brave men and women of today.Our non-profit Organization, named for the flower, is the first in history to cultivate and grow this wildflower and create from them a unique solidarity pin.
