This Project is the second project in a Program facilitating ISO Standards for the sustainable development in the MENA region, the first was Sustainable Events Management Guide facilitating ISO 20121 as a management system of organizing and managing event's activities in a sustainable manner.Our second project is facilitating the sustainable operation and management of Industrial, Commercial and Institutional Facilities (ICI) and addressing sustainable procedures through 11 main areas of practices listed below.The UN 10 year framework program on sustainable consumption and production10YFP requires that all facilities shall minimize the Environmental, social and economic impacts from manufacturing or providing services, in Jordan and MENA region the Environmental Protection laws and Waste Management promotes the extended producer's responsibility and pollutant pay, In addition to the SDGs and Climate Change mitigation requirements, all are emerging issues and drivers to promote sustainable Facilities management based on the international standards.Our sustainable facilities management guide has facilitated and adopted successful tools to manage&operate all facilities through its production life cycle, the guide has adopted Integrated Waste Management plan and procedures that ensure Zero Waste to the municipal landfills and minimizing hazardous waste to the applicable minimum, this applies at the following areas of practices:1. Sustainable energy consumption2. Sustainable Water Consumption3. Sustainable safety, occupational health and visual and thermal comfort4. Sustainable training, meetings and organizing events5. Sustainable Integrated Waste Management6. The sustainable built environment of the facility including maintenance and renovations7. Sustainable travel &transportation8.
