Dibeen Association for EnvironmentalDevelopment (DIBEEN) is an independent publicbenefit, non-governmental, non-profit associationestablished in 2010 by a group of environmentalactivists under the authorization of the JordanianMinistry of Environment. The association isconcerned with protecting the environment andconserving natural resources as well as thedevelopment of capacities and skills to improveand upgrade the environmental reality, byempowering local communities and work withthem to achieve their goals of living in a healthyenvironment and its work includes all regions ofthe Kingdom.The Association seeks to achieve its objectiveswithin the available resources and supportavailable, and by developing and providing manyenvironmental projects and work to thoseorganizations and bodies concerned, taking intoconsideration the recent developments andmechanisms of sustainable environmentaldevelopment.MISSION:Provide consulting, research,education and empowerment servicesin partnership with the public andprivate sectors and civil societyinstitutions as well as strengthen thecooperation and coordination ofefforts to preserve the environmentamong these stakeholders, whichwould contribute to the achievementof sustainable environmentaldevelopment in accordance withinternational standards, and this isdone through:* Human resources development; skillsand efficiency development.* Effective communication between theAssociation and the local community* Optimal exploitation of naturalresources* The involvement of all citizens tobenefit from the development resultsGoals :Work on various local and regional environmental issues.Biodiversity conservation.Use of renewable energy.Forest protection.Reducing the effects of climate change.Recycling.Environmentally friendly consumption patterns.Creating an environmental network of experts, researchers, students andvolunteers to monitor and document the environmental situation.Bui
