Yiqiao 益桥 is a social initiative and global platform to encourage top young graduates and professionals to serve in the social sector through a prestigious public service fellowship. It is backed by Gates Foundation and a number of leading Chinese foundations. The first cohort of fellows were chosen from applications from around the world, and the final ten were announced at the Bird's Nest. They are currently work at nonprofits, foundations, and social enterprises, tackling issues of education, migrant workers, poverty, environment, etc. The fellowship provides intensive training, mentorship, community support and incubation. Yiqiao aspires to nurture a new generation of young talent with a sense of social responsibility and global citizenship who can be a bridge between the privileged and underprivileged, the private and social sector, China and the world.
