Civic & Social Organization

We are a non-profit with a mission to promote bicycling in Chicago as a tool to develop the potential of our underserved youth. We offer bicycle mechanics training, youth programs, and special events to foster workforce development and community leadership. We envision a city where biking provides access to better lives. We empower youth and adults of all abilities and circumstances to build stronger, healthier communities. Respecting their diversity in culture, identity, and opinion, we develop creativity, self-sufficiency and economic opportunity through hands-on education and business development. In return, we ask that the youth and young people to give respect, take responsibility, and be resourceful. Our vision, mission, and values make us unique in 3 ways. As a youth development organization we use bikes as a tool for positive transformation of individuals and communities. As a bike organization we focus on youth development first. As a local Humboldt Park community organization we have a citywide focus.
