The size of the workforce is currently near 40 people, including programmers, artists, and game designers. The company is a small, WBENC certified woman-owned business, and is also a B Corporation. During the 11 years since its founding, the 1st Playable team has developed a strong reputation of delivering quality games on-time, with a focus on games that require significant collaboration with subject matter experts or brand holders. We are experienced developers who have worked together for years on top titles, with a track record of delivering to aggressive deadlines. But it's not just what you do, it's how you do it. We are a community-oriented game studio, modeled on the principles of social entrepreneurship. All of us volunteer time and energy to build community and educational organizations. We believe in balancing our passion: from developing engaging and fun games for kids, to spearheading new product research that will create a generation of educationally oriented games to inspire and engage kids of all ages.
