The idea ? Make a beaded strap which are interchangeable on various levels and created by you, unique for your wrist size. We wanted to create a harmonious amalgam between the watch industry and the world of gemstones to create : a personalized, modern-designed luxury watch, with an affordable price tag. We achieved our goal with a unique yet meaningful design approach. First , a small introduction is in order. We are the founders of AMALGAM Watches, 3 siblings: Abdur Raheem, Ridwaan and Sumayyah , from a small paradise island in the Indian Ocean, Mauritius .‘When Abdur (the youngest) started this journey (as a one-man team) with an idea yet to bloom one year ago, he had no idea how much AMALGAM would change his life and ours in the process. He left University after three years of study for a one year break. (with a solid 3D prototype and a convincing story). His goal ? To pursue the development of AMALGAM with better technology in China with Sumayyah (the eldest) . The product amalgamated into a better , more refined concept after months of hard work and the team increased to 3 with ridwaan (the middle one). We incorporated an interactive interface that could potentially give us a significant edge in the market, an approach never tried in the watch industry before, the overall customization approach. A focus on fashion and watches and personal freedom coupled with a quality engineered product is the perfect combination for a successful & fulfilling product. An affordable price tag is the cherry on top.'
